What exactly do 'WE' do?

Good question..

Lets illustrate with a common customer requirement such as a loft conversion (room in the roof)

  • We will establish whether you require Planning Permission or not.
  • If you require planning permission we'll appoint an Architect for you to secure the necessary approvals.
  • If you do not require Planning Permission..(Congrats! as this is the most controversial aspect of the process) we will arrange for an Architect and structural engineer to prepare the necessary drawings and calculations.
  • Building Regs: We will offer you two options for Building Regulations Approval (a) Your Local Authority or (b) get you an Approved Inspector.
  • Either way, the plans will be checked for conformity to Building Regulations Approved Documents
  • If you have not got a builder, we will send at least two competent builders to provide you with quotations based on a 'Bill of Quantities' prepared by us.
  • We can provide Party Wall advice if you have to seek an agreement from your neighbour(s)
  • We will advice you on building project management, i.e. when to release funds to the builder etc No more 'money up front' the 'Fly by Night' scenarios. We have seen it happen too often
